Job Description

This is a non-merit position with the Iowa Veterans Home.

The Iowa Veterans Home is looking to fill a Resident Aide to assist the state.

If you are interested in the health care field this is a great position to start in. Start at IVH taking care of the men and women that fought for our country and IVH can help you with Certified Nurses Aide classes.

Core hours for this temp position is 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm working 30 hours in a pay period and not more than 780 hours in a fiscal year. You will help residents by changing sheets, making bed, refill water pictures, refill treatment bucket, put away clean laundry.Provides support and physical assistance to residents by participating/initiating additional activities such as playing cards, table games, reading, crafts, writing letters for residents and taking residents for walks or outside for fresh air by wheelchair.

Escorts or participates with resident activities, writing letters for residents, taking residents for walks along with other assigned duties.
