This position is located at our Mason City, Iowa facility. This facility has a combination of two businesses. We mix and supply custom-mixed rubber compounds and also have an active distribution center within the facility. This positions will work with both sides of the business.
Performs rubber material property testing including mill prep, sample molding and specimen cutting.
Performs incoming inspection of molded rubber, silicone and plastic parts visually and dimensionally.
Capable of operating manual and computer controlled measurement devices and material analysis instruments.
Requires general reporting of non-conforming product, completion of dimensional reports, maintenance of Certificate of Analysis & Test History reports
- Monday thru Thursday 12PM – 8:15PM / Friday 7AM – 3:15PM ( some overtime possible )
Looking for self-directed individual that needs minimal supervision with attention to detail.
Requires a high school diploma or GED. ASQ, Certified Quality Inspector (CQI) certification or equivalent preferred but not required.
Minimum of 3 years experience as a quality inspector in a manufacturing environment. Ability to read and write English, write routine reports, perform simple to intermediate-level math, and have basic computer skills using MS Windows operating system. Ability to regularly use hands and fingers to feel objects, have 20/20 vision (or vision corrected to 20/20), and view parts under a microscope. Ability to read and interpret blue prints/drawings. Ability and skill to use all quality measurement hand tools. Ability to use and program measurement systems such as CNC Vision Systems.
Physical exertion requirements include the ability to sit, stand, balance, bend, stoop, twist, reach above the head as necessary, and lift up to 50 lbs.
