About The Job:

The Nuclear Medicine (NM) Technologist performs all exams as well as maintains all standards of the Nuclear Medicine Area.

What we are looking for:

Education [formal]:

Must be credentialed in Nuclear Medicine by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board and/or credentialed in Nuclear Medicine by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).

Experience:

Demonstrated competence in a Nuclear Medicine is preferred.

Special Skills and Competencies:

Must possess current Iowa Department of Public Health Permit to Practice in Nuclear Medicine. Willing to sit for Nuclear Cardiology, PET, or NMTCB CT boards at a mutual agreed upon time as outlined by the Manager.

Possesses organizational skills to prioritize duties.

Must demonstrate competencies with JCAHO Standards and State of Iowa Regulations on Radiation Emitting Equipment.

If credentialed by the ARRT in Radiography, credentials must be maintained.

May be required to alternate shifts.

Must have valid driver's license.

Must be able to read, write and/or speak English.

Must provide proof of Basic Life Support (BLS Provider, American Heart Association; or American Red Cross, Professional Rescuer-LIVE class only) via current card prior to employment or within 60 days of hire and maintains current status.

Must provide proof of Mandatory Reporting for Child and Dependent Adult Abuse training prior to employment or within 6 months of hire and maintain current status per State of Iowa guidelines
