Curries (an ASSA ABLOY company) is expanding our Technology Team. This role will be based on=site in our manufacturing facility in Mason City, Iowa.

What would you do as our Systems Administrator?

You will be responsible for helping to develop and improve the IT Infrastructure. This position will act as an escalation point to identify, track, escalate, and resolve end-user problems. You will also help to with projects that have a customer focus with keeping corporate policies and best practices in mind.

You would also:

  • Proactively analyzes, identifies and resolves problems associated with IT hardware and software

  • Diagnose hardware/software faults and solve technical problems, either over the phone or face-to-face

  • Conduct knowledge transfers with colleagues regarding solution delivery, updates/changes and lessons learned from previous engagements/experience, as relevant

  • Seek out opportunities to partner with and mentor less-experienced teammates and to share leading practices and help strengthen capabilities

  • Proactively monitor, test, and troubleshoot problems pertaining to server technologies

  • Works with Network Administration and Support Technician(s) to design and manage backup and recoverability model in keeping with business continuity objectives.

  • Work within transactional ticketing system, documenting incidents and resolutions; Keep users updated of status

  • Will provide an exemplary and professional interface between the IT department and all customers by sending and receiving email, phone, and in­person communications to ensure that information flow is accurate, timely, and professional.

  • Perform ad-hoc training for end users in the proper use of hardware and/or software

  • Maintain a service-oriented mindset, and strive for high customer satisfaction

  • Actively participates in providing a safe and harmonious working environment for all employees

  • Assures compliance with federal, state, local and corporate governance policies, regulations and laws, AADG programs and policies and the ASSA ABLOY Code of Conduct

  • Other duties as assigned

    The Skills and Experience you need :

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business and/or equivalent work experience

  • 7-10 years of progressive experience maintaining and supporting network & end user infrastructure in a business production environment

  • Experience supervising an infrastructure team and working directly with end users in a manufacturing environment is preferred

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills

  • Experience / Exposure to Microsoft Product Suite (OS, Office, 0365, etc.), n Systems administration including Server OS, Virtual technology, Storage and backups Network administration including TCP/IP, Switching, Routing, Security, VoIP

  • Experience working with network Systems administration including Server OS, Virtual technology, Storage and backups

  • Exposure to supplier management, video conferencing and telecom conferencing solutions

  • Ability to multi-task and handle tasks or projects with competing priorities
