Job Title: Foreman Manager

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Foreman Manager with at least 5 years of experience in the underground sewer and water construction trade. The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 2 years of experience running a crew installing water and sewer systems. Responsibilities include overseeing a crew of 3 to 4 members, operating heavy equipment such as excavators, dozers, and loaders, and coordinating daily tasks according to priorities and plans. The role requires foreman or supervisory experience, the ability to delegate responsibilities, and an emphasis on safety. The candidate should be knowledgeable in all wet utilities, including sewer, water, storm drain, and irrigation, and be capable of operating equipment and working in confined spaces.

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Nevada, Iowa.

Work Environment

Our company provides quality underground utility services to government agencies, cities, municipalities, and developers in Central Iowa. Safety is a significant initiative, and we offer safety incentive bonuses. We are expanding our team and looking for a long-term fit as we win more business. Projects range from 5 feet deep to 40 feet deep, and we operate 100% within OSHA guidelines. The dress code includes jeans, a T-shirt (no sleeveless), and steel-toe shoes. PPE, such as hard hats, safety glasses, vests, and gloves, is provided. Work hours are from 7 am to 6 pm, with no weekend work, but candidates must be open to working heavy overtime during the week if needed. The work is local to Ames and Des Moines, with the shop located in Nevada. Candidates must be able to commute within an hour radius of Des Moines.
