University of Iowa Community Credit Union Organizational Development Specialist in North Liberty, Iowa

Position Summary

The Organizational Development Specialist will support the design, implementation, facilitation, and coordination of learning solutions that align to operational changes and business priorities. This position will work closely with members of the organizational effectiveness team, Human Resources, GreenState employees, department leaders and is a leader amongst the organizational effectiveness team.

Salary range for this position is $79,173.90 - $105,966.64 with a progressive benefit package.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Adheres to the Credit Union's core values and Service Standards in conducting GreenState'smission and vision.

  • Ensures confidentiality of member information.

  • Supports the business through conducting needs analyses and partners with businessstakeholders to develop and deliver solutions to address gaps.

  • Provides instructional design and facilitation for professional development content and thedevelopment of innovative programs.

  • Identifies and recommends training and development opportunities for employees in achievingenhanced performance and/or career development.

  • Utilizes varying mediums, learning materials, and lesson plans to engage different learning stylesfor content.

  • Assists in the development and execution of communication plans related to the implementationof new programs, systems, enhancements, and/or process changes.

  • Partners with organizational effectiveness team members to seek, grow, and promote learningtechnology that supports both functional training and career development.

  • Identifies required course enhancements and changes to meet the evolving needs of thebusiness.

  • Provides feedback to other members of the organizational effectiveness team throughobservations and peer learning.

  • Partners with organizational effectiveness team members to seek, grow, and promote learningtechnology that supports both functional training and career development.

  • Keeps up with development in learning industry through reading current blogs, articles,professional association membership, and peer learning.

  • May serve as a backup for Training Specialists.

  • Plays a vital role in enriching the community by participating in community service organizationsand/or credit union sponsored events, on an annual basis.

  • Performs any other duties as may be required to meet Credit Union objectives.

Job Requirements/Expectations

  • Bachelor’s Degree or related field of study or equivalent work experience.

  • Minimum of three years’ experience in implementing training and professional developmentsolutions.

  • Experience in designing, developing, and implementing instructor led, virtual, online and blendedlearning courses.

  • Experience with leading team effectiveness, leader/team incorporation, change management andcareer coaching initiatives.

  • Experience in curriculum design and development, and instructional design.

  • Knowledge of learning theories and principles including adult learning theory.

  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written) and the ability to communicate effectively at alllevels within the organization.

  • Strong analytical, technical, and critical thinking skills.

  • Experience working with LMS (Learning Management Systems), and authoring tools is a plus.

  • Ability to organize and accomplish objectives independently and within a team.

  • Support diverse and inclusive work environment.

Reporting Relationship

This position reports to the Vice President/Organizational Effectiveness.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position is not responsible for the supervision of others.
