The University of Nebraska at Omaha is seeking aFood Tech- CateringFood ServicesPerform a variety of work related to UNO Catering. This individual has responsibility for the coordination of campus Catering events, often under indirect supervision. Responsible for every aspect of Catering events, assembly of products and wares, transportation of goods to event site, set up of event venue, monitoring events, disassemble events and re-stocking of items. Individual must possess a valid driveris license.iResponsible for leading a team of students and/or part-time employees. Must be knowledgeable of all Food Safety policies and procedures. Must possess excellent communication skills, multi-tasking and react quickly when issues arise. Weekend and evening work is mandatory. Work will require heavy lifting, up to 35lb alone and up to 70 pounds with assistance. Must work both indoor and outdoor venues, sometimes in temperature extremes, including in rain and snow.iSet up, serve, and clean-up of all catered functions, on and off campus. Ability to work independently. Needs to be able to follow oral and written instructions. Provide supervision of catering staff.
