West Monona CSD is looking for an Assistant HS Large Group and Individual Speech Sponsor
Job Goal: To help each participating student achieve a high level of skill, appreciation for the values of discipline and sportsmanship, and an increased level of self-esteem. Qualifications:
- Background in related sponsor area
- Experience working with children in a group situation
- Ability to be flexible, patient, and calm in sometimes stressful situations
- Computer literacy
- Will need to obtain Mandatory Reporter certifications
Responsibilities:
- Sponsor individual participants in the skills necessary for excellent achievement in the activity assigned
- Support the district vision for extracurricular activities
- Established performance criteria for eligibility in competitions in assigned activity
- Supervise students at all practices, performances, events, fames and competitions
- Maintains and submits necessary paperwork as required for the position
- Conducts himself/herself in a professional manner at all times when dealing with students, parents, officials, judges, fans, and other school staff members
- Maintains confidentiality in all personnel and student matters
- All other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the principals and superintendent
