STARTING RATE OF PAY: $23.66

QUALIFIED RATE OF PAY: $24.3

Responsibilities

Responsibilities of the successful Brass Furnace Operator candidate include but are not limited too: *Loads scrap metal into brass melting furnace. *Utilizes ladle to transfer metal. *Transfers metal to the pouring line, where it is poured into molds. *Clean up and other duties as required.

Qualifications

Qualifications of the successful Brass Furnace Operator candidate include but are not limited too: *Heavy lifting/carrying greater than 50 lbs. *Frequent lifting greater than 40 times per hour. *Bending/ twisting/ and standing for greater than 8 hours. *Ability to read and write and understand training and instruction. *Ability to work in extreme heat. *Must be able to utilize and work around moving machinery including ladle, crane, and forklift. *Must be able to utilize proper PPE including: respirator, metatarsal guarded boots, eye protection, hearing protection, aluminized hood and leggings.
