Overview

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:

The HR Coordinator supports and facilitates an engaging company culture through purposeful, personable collaboration on team member engagement and life cycle initiatives. This role unifies Clow with consistent and timely internal communications to increase companywide awareness, engagement and excitement of initiatives and programs.

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS:

  • Engagement Events: All team member engagement events are produced on-time and within budget 100% of the time.
  • Communications Initiative: Internal Clow communication initiatives are produced on time and within budget.

Responsibilities

CORE FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION:

  • HR Support (35%): Be the welcoming face of the HR Department by greeting and assisting visitors as well as team members with a personable and friendly demeanor. Support team member's through offering an open door and desire to serve regarding their concerns and questions. Answer phones to direct calls as well as manage employee verification requests. Help represent and advertise Clow as the ideal place to work through presence at college, local and IWD job fairs and similar events. Assist the HR Team, when necessary, with screening applications, scheduling interviews, organizing, and completing orientations.
  • Engagement (30%): Ensure company-wide communication by utilizing Clow Valve's internal communications strategy effectively by independently managing the bulletin boards, newsletters, and team health assessments among others. Effectively coordinate all employee engagement events including employee picnic, Service Awards, Banquet, Teacher Appreciation Day, and any other selected events. Advertise and facilitate wellness program offerings including wellness fair and more. Exemplify Clow's culture of self-improvement with personal development like continuing education and conferences like SHRM. Creatively and consistently utilize Clow Valve's social media outlets to promote Clow Valve's team members for all their excellent work.
  • Administrative (35%): Appropriately distribute mail for the building, manage and organize the Boot Program and annually document retention and destruction for the HR Department, including managing digitalizing files. Help keep the department running smoothly and efficiently by filing and maintaining organized team member files while performing other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with strong public speaking ability.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Strong computer skills, working with a variety of programs.
  • Experience with HRIS is preferred but not required.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Associate's Degree in Business and/or other related field is required.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in recruiting, hiring and on-boarding preferred, but not required.
