Musco Lighting PR & Communications Coordinator in Oskaloosa, Iowa

Our PR and Communications team is responsible for managing external communication with a variety of marketing deliverables such as direct mail, tradeshows, web content, social media, and sales tools.

This position helps coordinate these various team efforts nearly every step of the way, from brainstorming promotions to organizing and prioritizing projects to analyzing results. Strong written and communication skills are key to the success of this role. You would use these skills to lead social media content creation, inform other departments of our promotions, and occasionally support internal communication efforts.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Coordinate tasks and projects within the PR and Communications team

  • Maintain planning calendars, tools and processes for streamlined execution of projects

  • Assist PR and Communications team with brainstorming and planning for large scale campaigns and promotions

  • Train internal team members on various marketing topics

  • Provide resources to support regional sales promotional needs

  • Work to identify internal and external content for MuscoConnect (intranet), PR, sales materials, social media and the Musco app

  • Assure communications are tracked, analyzed and archived

  • P lan, create and analyze social media content

  • Write content for internal and external communications as needed

  • Other duties as assigned

    Job Specifications

  • Strong knowledge with social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube)

  • Proven creative and problem-solving skills

  • Attention to detail

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to work as part of a team to define and pursue opportunities

  • Basic understanding of promotion and advertising

  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment and delegate tasks to PR and Communication team as needed

  • Must remain flexible and enjoy working in a constantly changing team environment

  • Knowledge of WordPress, Adobe Creative Suite and Intuiface a plus but not required

    Education & Experience Requirements

  • 2 years of directly related experience or a degree in communications or journalism is desirable
