1 - First Shift

The Data Validation Analyst interprets, extracts, analyzes, compiles, and audits product and customer data. This position ensures the data adheres to high quality standards (accuracy, validity, completeness) for use throughout the company’s enterprise, including dissemination and use by internal users, dealers, subsidiaries and retail customers, as well as governmental regulatory reporting.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  1. Demonstrate the Vermeer characteristics of caring culture, demonstrating agility, customer focused, and stewardship and model the associated behaviors.

  2. Interpret, extract, analyze and compile data; audit data for adherence to the organization’s data quality and integrity standards.

  3. Create, execute and archive product-related documents for global product enterprise compliance by establishing a variety of queries, reports in required formats and processes across multiple applications including recordkeeping, source data archiving and/or potential regulatory audits.

  4. Create, execute and archive product safety field campaign notices by establishing queries and reports, drafting service bulletins, customer notifications and parts coordination using multiple processes and applications.

  5. Understand complex business requirements and data integrity in order to analyze, create, implement and maintain data in response to company initiatives, regulatory changes, or as new information systems necessitate the demand.

  6. Audit, cleanse, update and transform the data to maintain data integrity using various methods and tools.

  7. Respond to requests from customers and dealers relating to a multitude of inquiries, including product compliance regulatory documents.

Education and/or Experience

  • 4-year college degree in Business Information, Administration, Management or related field.

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in data processing and data analytics.

Other Skills and Abilities

  • Demonstrate ability to analyze and evaluate complex data and communicate data issues or non-conformance with internal personnel, dealers, retail customers and others and follow through on resolving data issues discovered to ensure accurate, validated, quality data is available for dissemination through the company’s global enterprise, including dealers and subsidiaries following company’s and regulated security protocols.

  • Demonstrate attention to detail and a high sense of accuracy; ability to create accurate, professional and error-free documents in multiple formats—Excel, Access, Word, etc., in a timely manner.

  • Ability to identify complex root cause analysis and propose potential resolutions to cleanse and maintain the data by updating, transforming and archiving data.

  • Display focus for prompt customer satisfaction and demonstrates excellent customer service skills.

  • Demonstrate good oral and written communication skills with the ability to communicate and provide informative, courteous and professional assistance to a variety of customers (retail customers, dealers, co-workers, subsidiaries, public) to present Vermeer brand expectations while fulfilling a variety of reports, government regulated documents and data, and related tasks.

  • Ability to balance multiple assignments by planning and prioritizing responsibilities while supporting a variety of internal team members as well as the enterprise, while meeting established deadlines.

  • Ability to gain knowledge of current, developing and new applications, product safety field campaigns, global mass mailings and specialized product governmental regulatory documentation.

  • Ability to maintain positive interpersonal relationships which encourage openness with customers and peers.

  • Knowledge or ability to learn company's product lines and dealer organizations. Possess a strong understanding of the company’s current and historical global products and services as the knowledge is acquired.

  • Demonstrate self-initiative with the ability to effectively execute tasks, manage time and resources with minimal supervision.
