1 - First Shift

Are you the type of person who enjoys reducing complex ideas to simpler components and communicating them effectively to various stakeholders? In this role, you will create, maintain, leverage, and improve a variety of databases and applications to assist Vermeer in gaining the most value out of its product compliance data, and you will help capture that data through communications with internal and external stakeholders. We're looking for someone with a strong grasp of basic principles of computer science and who has an interest in problem solving alongside an advanced information technology and communications skillset, including familiarity with creating and navigating databases, and with information architecture and template design.

What You'll Do

  1. Create, maintain, leverage, and improve product compliance data stored in databases, applications, and templates, and create various reports based on that data.

  2. Work cross-functionally with other departments at Vermeer and with external vendors to obtain needed product compliance data and communicate product compliance requirements.

  3. Promote understanding and awareness among internal stakeholders of where product compliance data is stored, how it can be used, why it matters, and what value it has for various business activities.

  4. Monitor and help review new and changing compliance requirements in the countries and regions where Vermeer products are sold.

  5. Develop general familiarity with relevant product compliance disciplines, including materials compliance, on-highway regulations and design requirements, engines and emissions compliance, decal design standards, and regional conformity requirements.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or other related field with five years of relevant experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience required.

  • CSM and/or CSPO certifications, preferred.

  • Significant familiarity with basic principles of computer science, programming, and information architecture.

  • Familiarity with at least some compliance requirements applicable to industrial or agricultural machinery.

  • Ability to read and understand legislation, technical documents, bills of materials, sales code structures, engineering change notices, and manufacturing records.

Travel

  • Occasional travel is expected of this position.

Work Location

HYBRID: Some of a team member's day-to-day work may be best done at a location other than a Vermeer campus. Discuss specific arrangements with your manager.
