Work Shift

1 - First Shift

The Regional Manager partners with key leadership at Vermeer industrial dealerships to develop business strategies and actions targeted at optimizing the dealer's business performance. This may include working on sales effectiveness, forecasting, inventory management, and lifecycle performance. This position ensures the dealership is providing an exceptional customer experience, properly developing internal personnel, and finding ways to sustain market share and/or grow into new and existing markets. This role collaborates and coordinates with Channel Advancement, the strategic business units and other departments to ensure mutual alignment of corporate goals and initiatives within their assigned dealership territory and operations.

What You'll Do

  1. Execute the business plan:
  • Identify and discuss opportunities for improvement in dealer's business

  • Challenge and motivate for continuous improvement

  • Display understanding of dealership operations

includingsales, rental, parts, service, HR, and marketing

  • Ask thought provoking questions related to dealership operations and personnel

  • Understand dealer financial documents and business operations metrics

  • Conduct timely and comprehensive business plan reviews, holding both the dealership and Vermeer persons responsible for execution.

Manageinventoryand forecast:

  • Conduct timely and effective whole goods and parts forecast reviews with appropriate dealership personnel and segment leaders

  • Ask probing questions in order to drive dealer forecast accuracy

  • Monitor and discuss inventory levels and product turns with dealer

  1. Ensure exceptional customer experience:
  • Execute and monitor corporately sponsored dealer performance programs

  • Assist in bringing customer-related issues to timely and satisfactory conclusions

  • Facilitate effective CX (customer experience) workshops

  • Understand and regularly share CSI (customer satisfaction index) data with dealers

  • Using various demographic tools and datasets, identify potential locations for future dealer touchpoints. Provide analysis to dealer and have strategic facilities conversations.

  1. Drivegrowth and sustainment:
  • Conduct timely and thorough succession planning reviews

  • Conduct timely and effective discussions of dealer staff bench strength and the professional development of key dealer personnel

  • Assess dealer facilities and discusses current and future needs

  • Articulate need for strategic alignment between the organization and the dealer network

  • Identify gapsand shortcomings in dealership staffing and discuss with dealer

  • Identify gapsand shortcomings in sales territory coverage and discuss with dealer

  • Understand Fit for Market data and discusses with appropriate dealer personnel

  • Monitor and promote frequency and the type of training dealer personnel participate in

What We're Looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Sales, Marketing or related field and minimum of ten years in product sales and dealer

networks;and/or combination of education and experience is required.

-Knowledge of Vermeer products and dealership network preferred.

  • Experience in manufacturing or distribution preferred.

  • Ability tothink strategically.

  • Established project management skills.

  • Demonstration of strong verbal and written communication skills with great discernment in communicating sensitive information verbally and n writing.

  • Ability to develop interpersonal relationships and encourage openness while maintaining utmost company confidentiality, and trustworthiness with dealer personnel, co-workers, customers and the community.

  • Ability to work independently, managing own area of

responsibility. Ability to use provided technology to work effectively with dealership personnel remotely.

  • Knowledge of company equipment, knowledge of industrial distribution laws, understanding of market share, marketing trends and marketing analysis.

  • Proven negotiation skills and experience.

  • Demonstration of strong organizational skills.

  • Ability to be flexible, work under pressure, and manage confrontation in high pressure situations.

  • Ability to break down complex situations into manageable and actionable pieces.

  • Ability to objectively assess and understand situations from the dealer's, customer's, and Vermeer's perspective while working towards mutually acceptable solutions.

Travel

  • Significant travel is required in this role.

Work Location

ONSITE: A team member's day-to-day work is best done on a Vermeer campus. If work content can be occasionally completed at an offsite location, discuss potential arrangements with your manager.
