MICHELIN / CAMOPLAST ROCKLAND LTD Project Engineer in PEOSTA, Iowa

MISSION :Pilot the realization, installation and commissioning of a new wheel rubberizing manufacturing plant. Lead the pre-studies to define the most effective solutions in providing the equipment needed to achieve the project objectives at the best performance/cost ratio, using the standards.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESEvaluate, develop, implement and/or improve on processes in manufacturing systems for safety, process capability and efficiency while maintaining and improving quality standards.Monitor and assess performance of plans and/or processes to make improvements or take corrective action, to optimize efficiency through various work cells and operations.Support the production start-up of new products, processes, and equipment into production, while collaborating with the material and product development teams to insure manufacturability of the product.Identify complex problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.Determine how a system should work and how changes in conditions, operations, and the environment will affect outcomes, considering relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one.Imagine/create robotized and automated MFG concepts.Responsible to find and implement innovative solutions to make and meet customer request.Work cross functionally with Engineering, Product development, Manufacturing and Sales advocating, promoting, and practicing cultural sensitivity and responsiveness through these day-to-day interactions.Create and present budget, timeline, and action plans for projects.Experience and Education RequirementsBachelors Degree in Engineering or related field.5 years manufacturing and project engineering experience.Working knowledge of manufacturing processes and products, mechanical and electrical standards.Strong mechanical and Industrial engineering understanding (especially for equipment and MFG systems)Strong leadership and organizational skills, self-motivated, takes initiative, works with minimum supervision.Strong communication skills, a teammate who works cooperatively with others to solve problems and willingly helps others.Demonstrated business sense and customer focus orientation, with ability to influence people from diverse trades and functions.Knowledge of Allen-Bradley Logix PLCs and HMIs, machine controls, and AutoCAD.Knowledge of the tools and processes involved in product development (e.g. Design for Six Sigma, DOE, PFMEA, DFMEA, etc.) preferred.Experience within the rubber industry preferred.Knowledge of the statistical control of processes preferred.Travel required: 5-10% between the other company manufacturing sites.Camso is an equal employment opportunity employer and an affirmative action federal contractor
