Facility Operator
Monday - Friday, 1st Shift

This position is responsible for a combination of tasks that includes storing & handling of grain products.
Responsibilities will include:
Assisting in maintaining quality & quantity of stored grain
Loading & unloading trucks or railroad cars
Operating heavy equipment including pay loaders, skid steer, forklifts and railroad car movers
Performing general cleaning inside & outside facility
Assisting in maintenance of plant & equipment
Starting conveyors, selecting flow spouts, setting trippers & selecting storage tanks to convey grain into storage or to loading department
Requirements:
Previous experience in a similar position and solid job tenure
Ability to read & interpret documents such as safety rules, operating & maintenance instructions & procedure manuals
Strong communication skills (written & verbal) and ability to present information to co-workers, customers, clients, other employees of organization or small groups
Proficient with computer and able to use variety of computer software including spreadsheet & word processing with ability to learn new systems quickly
Must be able to add, subtract, multiple & divide in all unites of measure using whole numbers, common fractions & decimals
Ability to solve practical problems & deal with variety of situations and interpret variety of instructions
Must be able to lift 50 lbs & pull/push 150 lbs unassisted, shovel material, sweep & dust
Able to work outside in all types of weather, high volume traffic conditions, airborne particles, moving equipment & mechanical parts, flammable materials and dust, dirt/grease
Noise level is usually moderate to loud
