Mater Dei School is seeking an engaging and motivated educator to join our middle school team in the capacity of6-8 ENGLISH LANGUAGE ARTS teacherfor the 2024-2025 school year. Our middle school ELA teacher is responsible for helping students develop their writing through the use of correct English grammar and punctuation, as well as their speaking and listening skills. Our middle school students learn to research, create presentations and critique the contents of text and other media.
Mater Dei students and staff enjoy a safe work and learning environment, high level of collaboration, 1:1 student devices, high test scores, small class size and supportive families.
Education, Knowledge, Skills, and Experience Required or Preferred:
- BA/BS degree in teaching from an accredited institution, or related field teaching.
- Iowa State certification in teaching in appropriate subject area.
- Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others.
- Must have the proven ability to report to work on a regular and punctual basis.
- Perform all other related work delegated or required by contract to accomplish the objectives of the total school program.
- Knowledge and implementation of relevant technology.
- Meet professional teacher education requirements of school, Diocese, and state.
