Description
We are seeking a skilled Construction Laborer with basic carpentry skills to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital role in assisting our construction crew with various tasks. From preparing construction sites to basic carpentry work, your contributions will be important in ensuring successful project completion.
Responsibilities:
Installing Trim:This includes baseboards, crown molding, window and door casings, rails, and other elements.
Reading Blueprints:Understanding and interpreting construction blueprints and specifications to ensure accurate installation of trim and other finishing elements.
Quality Control:Ensuring that all finished work meets high-quality standards and complies with building codes and regulations.
Finish Work:Applying stains, varnishes, paints, or other finishes to wood surfaces to enhance their appearance and durability.
Other responsibilities can include:Light framing, demolition and drywall tasks.
Requirements:
Carpentry Skills:A strong foundation in carpentry techniques, including measuring, cutting, and shaping wood accurately.
Knowledge of Tools:Proficiency in using a variety of hand and power tools is essential, such as saws, nail guns, sanders, and routers. Must be able to read a tape measure. Possesion of personal tools is advantageous.
Safety Awareness:Understanding and adhering to safety protocols to prevent accidents and injuries on the job site.
Physical Stamina:Carpentry work can be physically demanding, requiring strength, endurance, and agility to perform tasks such as lifting heavy materials and working in awkward positions.
