Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Skid Steer Operator to join our team. As a Skid Steer Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining skid steer equipment to perform a variety of tasks, such as moving heavy materials, loading and unloading trucks, and excavating or grading land. Your attention to detail, strong communication skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment will be critical to your success in this role
Responsibilities:
Operate skid steer equipment to move, lift, and transport heavy materials, ensuring proper balance and stability at all times.
Perform routine maintenance on skid steer equipment, including inspecting and lubricating all mechanical parts, checking fluid levels, and replacing worn-out parts as needed.
Load and unload trucks or other vehicles using the skid steer equipment, ensuring proper distribution of weight and secure attachment of materials.
Excavate or grade land using the skid steer equipment, following project specifications and safety regulations.
Assist with other construction tasks as needed, such as concrete pouring, demolition, or site cleanup.
Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to coordinate tasks, report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns, and ensure project deadlines are met.
Follow all safety protocols and guidelines while operating the skid steer equipment, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and conducting regular safety inspections.
Requirements:
Proven experience operating skid steer equipment in a construction or similar environment is a plus.
Strong knowledge of skid steer safety protocols and guidelines.
Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
Physically fit and able to lift heavy materials and work in various weather conditions.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
