Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Skid Steer Operator to join our team. As a Skid Steer Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining skid steer equipment to perform a variety of tasks, such as moving heavy materials, loading and unloading trucks, and excavating or grading land. Your attention to detail, strong communication skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment will be critical to your success in this role

Responsibilities:

  • Operate skid steer equipment to move, lift, and transport heavy materials, ensuring proper balance and stability at all times.

  • Perform routine maintenance on skid steer equipment, including inspecting and lubricating all mechanical parts, checking fluid levels, and replacing worn-out parts as needed.

  • Load and unload trucks or other vehicles using the skid steer equipment, ensuring proper distribution of weight and secure attachment of materials.

  • Excavate or grade land using the skid steer equipment, following project specifications and safety regulations.

  • Assist with other construction tasks as needed, such as concrete pouring, demolition, or site cleanup.

  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to coordinate tasks, report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns, and ensure project deadlines are met.

  • Follow all safety protocols and guidelines while operating the skid steer equipment, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and conducting regular safety inspections.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience operating skid steer equipment in a construction or similar environment is a plus.

  • Strong knowledge of skid steer safety protocols and guidelines.

  • Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.

  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.

  • Physically fit and able to lift heavy materials and work in various weather conditions.

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
