What you will do:

Talent Acquisition:

  • Develop and implement effective recruiting strategies to attract top talent, focusing on skilled operators, maintenance technicians, and other critical roles.

  • Source candidates using diverse channels such as job boards, social media, employee referrals, career fairs, and community partnerships.

  • Build and maintain relationships with local organizations, technical schools, and community partners to enhance the company’s talent pipeline and community presence.

  • Screen resumes, conduct interviews, and coordinate candidate assessments to identify the best fit for each position.

  • Manage the full-cycle recruitment process, including offer letters, salary negotiations, and pre-employment background checks.

  • Perform background checks and coordinate drug screenings for prospective candidates.

Onboarding & Employee Support:

  • Facilitate new hire orientation at our Sioux City location, ensuring completion of all required documentation, safety training, and role-specific onboarding plans.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for new hires during their onboarding period, addressing questions and concerns to ensure a seamless transition.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the company HRIS system

  • Respond to basic employee inquiries about company policies, procedures, and other HR questions, escalating complex issues to appropriate stakeholders.

  • Support the administration of HR programs and initiatives, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support for HR projects as needed.

  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

  • Assist in coordinating and organizing company events and employee engagement activities, with help of other HR team members.

Requirements

What you will need:

  • Proven experience in recruitment, onboarding, or HR coordination.

  • Familiarity with HRIS systems and regulatory compliance in HR practices. Paylocity experience, huge plus!

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build relationships and provide employee support.

  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills for managing multiple tasks.

  • Ability to work collaboratively and maintain confidentiality.

  • Bilingual skills in Spanish are highly desirable and will be considered a strong asset to support a diverse workforce.
