JOB DESCRIPTION

The HVAC installer will work on commercial installation projects, installing sheet metal ducts, spiral ducts, roof top units and other HVAC equipment. Installers will need to be able to read and interpret a commercial HVAC blueprint. You must be organized with the ability to make good decisions while following instructions. We are looking for year-round, full time employment along with a long-term commitment. Some overtime work will be required. Some travel required. Must be able to work on ladders and lifts. Experience is desired, but not necessary. On the job training available.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Install auxiliary components to heating-cooling equipment such as registers, air ducts, spiral pipes, blowers, dampers, flues, as shown on the blueprints
  • Fabricate, assemble, or install duct work
  • Assemble, position and mount heating or cooling equipment, following blueprints
  • Assist co-workers on various jobs in the area when needed
  • Perform physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials and equipment
  • Report problems with company tools or vehicle promptly
  • Work well with customers, co-workers and subcontractors
  • Maintain professional relationship with builders
  • Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Lift at least 100 pounds
  • Ability to work on ladders and high places
  • Follow instructions
  • Work unsupervised
  • Current driver’s license and good driving record
  • Professional appearance at all times
EDUCATION/KNOWLEDGE
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Demonstrated skills and knowledge of the trade
  • Good understanding of materials and tools used in the industry
  • Additional training and education as required
