Description: This position is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

Tasks: Responsible for preventative maintenance and repair of equipment to maintain continuous production. Applicant must be able to set up, adjust and break down production line machinery. Must be able to use math as needed to make work related computations for machinery, fluid capacities, etc. Must be able to lift up-to 50 lbs. on a daily basis and be able to stand for up to 12 hours

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Must abide by GMP and SSOP.

  • Must perform PM's as required.

  • Must take production sheet and calibrate equipment for scheduling.

  • Must uncover machines, turn on all equipment and vice versa.

  • Change over entire line on product change.

  • Adhere to all safety policies.

  • Perform other duties as necessary and as assigned by department lead and/or supervisor.

  • As a member of the Maintenance Department, is expected to provide timely, position response/support as needed to production operations.

  • Routine maintenance tasks, preventative maintenance tasks, and equipment repair during downtime situations.

  • Fabrication tasks as needed related to equipment repair.

  • Must fill out paperwork required.

  • Must exhibit positive attitude and be dependable; be organized.

  • Ability to do basic math.

Requirements: Must have one year of industrial maintenance experience and at least six months of continuous work history with same employer within the last twelve months or was attending technical school or training within the last twelve months to be considered for this position. Related technical school or training will be considered in lieu of industrial maintenance work experience. Must be able to work assigned shifts and weekends. Technical training in any maintenance related field and/or prior applicable job-related experience is preferred.

Applicant must be willing to complete all required training for the job.

Exhibit ability to progress through the Maintenance skills training program and obtain the required job-related skills.

Communication Skills: Strong communication skills verbal and written.

Must have 4 attendance points or less to be eligible.

This position is slated for team members who are currently working at this facility or complex only.
