APC is a three shift 24x5 facility 7A-3P,3P-11P & 11P-7A and a two shift 24x7 facility 7A-7P & 7P-7A dependingon department.LOCATION: Story City, IAESSENTIALDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Participatein training, embrace concepts of and actively practice the STOP Safety Programfundamentals to aid American Packaging Corporation's efforts to achieve a zeroaccident rate.Retrieveall necessary set up information/specifications/guidelines. Complete all machine changeover/set-upprocesses minimizing machine downtime and meeting or exceeding set-up standardrequirements. Develop set up proceduredocumentation as required.Correctlycomplete daily production sheets, process condition sheets, waste logs andquality inspection logs. Ensure joborder information (size, construction, print position, packing instructions,adhesive structures, and proper substrates being used) corresponds with theproduct being manufactured.Safely,efficiently and effectively operate assigned production machinery equipmentmonitoring quality, production and waste adhering to all customerspecifications.Ensureimmediate work area and work areas for which Machine Operator hasresponsibility are free of clutter and debris. Perform all cleaning/sanitation responsibilities, safely using allrequired cleaning solutions and protective equipment.Attendand participate in all scheduled meetings (Continuous Quality Improvement,safety, special projects, departmental, etc.).Ableto work all scheduled shifts and required overtime hours.Generalresponsibilities: will very base on department and position -Observeand adhere to all safety guidelinesCompletenecessary sheets for quality checksEnsureall required on-line quality data is properly documentedMonitorall quality requirements as outlined by company procedure and specificationDistinguishdeviance between established manufacturing specifications reporting deviationsto appropriate personnelEnsureadhesives have sufficient bond, strength and clarityMonitorglue pumps and fill as neededEnsureinks run at proper viscositiesMakemechanical machinery adjustments as requiredCompleteroll changes as neededSuccessfullycorrect web breaksCompleteshingle board and proper sampling proceduresDirectall resources assigned to the manufacturing line to effectively accomplish theaboveEffectivelyobserve and judge colorEnsureall start-up material meet specification requirementsPre-plannext job before completion of current jobProperlyflag & document defects in master rolls accurately for next operatorDeliveraccurate and concise information to adjacent shifts and Shift Supervisors in atimely fashion.Troubleshootand solve printing problemsSUPERVISORYRESPONSIBILITIES: None.QUALIFICATIONREQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, anindividual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
