Job Title: Service Technician

Job Description

Join our team as a Service Technician, where you will review work orders, cut, prepare, and fabricate parts for repairing damaged trailers or truck bodies. Your responsibilities will include assisting in disassembling, repairing, and reassembling parts, changing axles, brake linings, and conducting electrical work. You will also be accountable for the care and organization of company tools and preparing new and used trailers for resale.

Hard Skills

• 6+ months of experience with hand tools and power tools

• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide

• Ability to read a tape measure

• Mechanic experience is a plus.

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Story City, Iowa.

Work Environment

This role operates in a manufacturing and repair shop consistently working near moving/mechanical parts. The schedule is Monday to Friday from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM with optional availability on Saturdays or for coming in early/leaving late. The team size includes 10 people working as service technicians. Work attire consists of steel toe/composite boots, jeans, and at minimum a short sleeve shirt. Shorts, tank tops, or cut-offs are not permitted. The company will provide PPE including a hard hat, gloves, safety glasses, and hearing protection.
