WesleyLife at Home is seeking a dedicated People & Culture (HR) Assistant to support the Director of People & Culture in creating a welcoming and positive work environment for all team members. This role is crucial in providing a smooth onboarding experience for new hires and maintaining a culture where team members feel valued. The role requires strong organizational skills, adaptability, and a proactive approach in a fast-paced environment.

A Day in the Life as our People and Culture Assistant with WesleyLife at Home:

  • Assist with pre employment tasks such as conducting background checks and coordinating medical screenings.

  • Help new hires through the onboarding process, ensuring all necessary steps are completed.

  • Support with new hire orientations and benefits meetings.

  • Keep HR records and personnel files organized and up to date.

  • Assist with performance evaluations and track deadlines.

  • Manage workers' compensation claims and FMLA leave processes.

  • Help plan and organize employee events and celebrations.

  • Act as a resource for team members, answering questions about policies, benefits, and systems.

What You’ll Bring:

  • 2+ years of experience in HR, administration, or a related role.

  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, with a focus on creating a positive employee experience.

  • Detail-oriented and capable of maintaining accurate records and handling confidential information.

  • A proactive, problem-solving mindset with the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment.

  • Familiarity with HR processes and tools (experience with HRIS systems is a plus).

  • A team-oriented attitude, with a passion for supporting and engaging team members.
