Job Description:BENTON COMMUNITY SCHOOL DISTRICT TITLE: Assistant Girls Soccer Coach REPORTS TO: Head Coach, Activities Director or designee JOB GOAL: To cooperate with the head coach, in the assigned sport, in maintaining a quality program within the policy framework of the school district. FLSA ST Non-Exempt Part Time QUALIFICATIONS:
Certificate, Endorsement, or other legal credential required.
Prior job experience (preferred).
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:1. Cooperate with the head coach, athletic director, and the principal in performing the duties related to the school athletic program.2. Ensure that participating students understand rules and policies.3. Support the head coach in conducting the program of the particular activity and total activity/athletic program of the school district.4. Remain loyal to the head coach and to the team and follows directives given by head coach.5. Attend all practices beginning the first day to the end of the season along with being available for all staff meetings.7. Assume responsibility for maintenance of facilities and personnel in the absence of the head coach.8. Assume responsibility for student participants until all participants are dressed and/or have left the building. Secure all gates, dressing rooms, locker and gymnasium facilities before leaving the area.9. Enforce discipline and sportsmanlike behavior at all times and assist in establishing/overseeing penalties for breach of such standards by individual participants.10. Report all injuries, misconduct, or other unusual situations to the head coach, athletic director, or principal.11. Assist the head coach in checking in and inventorying all equipment at the end of the season.12. WORKING CONDITIONS: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Outdoor and indoor conditions vary from exteme cold in the winter to very warm indoors for practices and games. The noise level in the work environment is frequently loud.
