DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Maintains and troubleshoots programmable logic controls and general wiringMust be able to read wiring schematicsMust be available to work weekendsResponsible for the High Voltage SystemHas knowledge of industrial wiringMust have a good mechanical aptitudeResponsible for all electrical system production and processingWill work around power transmissionsKnows and understands the function and construction of a machines foundationKnows and understands the 3 types of coupling bushings; can install and remove one styleAble to list different types of v-belts, along with preventive maintenance steps for the v-belt drive systemsDescribes and identifies the operation of a variable speed v-belt drive around the plantMust be able to list the five basic components of a hydraulic systemMust be able to locate a hydraulic DCV on the plant floor and list its characteristicsDescribes the hydraulic flow and the units that it is measured inDescribes the three types of positive displacement of hydraulic pumpsMust be able to draw a basic hydraulic schematic of a plant floor hydraulic circuitMust be able to list the two categories of liquid pumps (not hydraulic)Must be able to list the three methods of the pump motor/shaft connectionsDescribes two units of pump flow rate measurementDescribes the characteristics of a system head curveMust be able to locate a pneumatic valve on the plant floor and list its characteristicsAdheres to safe work practices, following GMPs, maintaining sanitary conditions and ensuring that product quality is maintainedReports to management if any conditions or practices may adversely affect food safety, food quality or personnel safetyAdheres to all company policies and proceduresAble to perform other duties as assignedEDUCATION AND EXPEREINCE REQUIRED:High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalentPREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:One year certificate from college or technical school or equivalent combination of education, training and/or experienceJourneymans license1-2 years of electrical experience is preferredMust be able to terminate control wiringMust be able to trouble shoot low/high voltage control systemsAble to work in a safe mannerCapable of ascending and descending ladders and stairsAbility to communicate effectivelyDemonstrates the ability to work effectively with others to complete work assignmentsOpen to changePositive interpersonal relationshipsAble to work independently and with others in a team environmentSelf-motivated while also willing to ask questions and seek directionDisplays responsible behavior at workPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Capable of safely lifting 75 lbs. on occasionAbility to work in cold, wet, noisy, dusty and humid environmentsEqual Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities
