SUMMARY

This position is responsible for appropriately distributing all incoming faxes in the RHC Clinics. This position will also ensure that all incoming and outgoing referrals are closed in a timely manner.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each responsibility satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability to be successful.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES (include but are not limited to the following)

  • Distribute all incoming faxes to the appropriate person and make sure all processes are followed to close the loop.

  • Collaborate with outside providers and facilities to ensure that we have appropriate documentation to close outgoing referrals.

  • Send encounters to referring providers to ensure they have appropriate documentation to close outgoing referrals.

  • Complete portal deactivation on all patients once they reach the age of 12 and 18 years old.

  • Help answer incoming phone calls during high call volumes and direct incoming phone calls to the appropriate personnel or department.

  • Schedule, reschedule and cancel appointments for providers as needed.

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred

  • Previous customer service experience is required.
