RFA Engineering Manufacturing Engineer - Agricultural Equipment in Waterloo, Iowa

RFA Engineering (www.rfamec.com) is seeking candidates to be part of our engineering team at our customer's facility in Waterloo, IA. As a member of our team, the selected candidate will support the production of agricultural equipment.

Job Description

  • Develop machining processes for new and existing parts.

  • Work with maintenance production and engineering to communicate and resolve issues.

  • Support order fulfillment in troubleshooting daily issues.

  • Innovate and implement processes for cost reduction, quality and safety improvements.

  • Develop and test new processes and technologies through creating a plan and executing.

  • Provides support and basic trouble shooting for current operations.

  • Investigates, gathers and analyze data for specifically assigned, recurring tasks.

  • Establishes routings, methods, layouts, tools, costs, methods documentation, quality plans and labor standards for revisions to current operations and/or new parts or programs of limited scope.

  • Identifies and implements cost reduction, quality, safety and ergonomic improvement ideas of limited scope.

  • Designs operations layouts to improve material flow and material presentation.

  • Participates in team studies related to capacity, energy, productivity and efficiency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor?s degree in Ag Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing or related technical degree or equivalent working experience.

  • SAP background is a plus.

  • In-depth understanding of tooling and tooling systems.

  • Understand principles of manufacturing tooling, tool design and quality.

  • Understanding of GD and T, product modeling and print interpretation.

  • Good computer and office software skills.

  • Proficient with 3D CAD and CAM software (TDM, FeatureCAM, Pro/NC and/or Vericut) or equivalent a plus.
