The Engineering group at CPM in Waterloo, IA is seeking a talented Mechanical Drafter / Designer to join our team. This position will assist in the design and development of new products and improvements of existing products based upon customer needs and targeted growth initiatives.
This is not a remote position
Responsibilities:
Develop detailed 2D mechanical drawings using Autodesk Inventor
Produce accurate 3D models using Autodesk Inventor
Performs calculations to complete 2D layout drawings and 3D assembly models
Create assembly drawings used for parts lists and production
Design parts based upon written and verbal descriptions from engineers and customers
Prepare accurate bills of materials
Lay out, draw, and reproduce illustrations for product manuals and technical publications
Education and Experience:
Degree in drafting, design, or related field
1 to 3 years of drafting or design experience is required
Ability to read mechanical blueprints
Proficient in 3D Modeling and Drafting software (Inventor and AutoCAD preferred)
