Function: Manufacturing Engineering
Title: Part-Time Student - Engineering - Waterloo ,IA - 41012
This position will assist in the New Product Manufacturing Engineering Test area with a variety of responsibilities. Responsibilities include:
Tracking status of manufacturing requirements for start of production
Follow up with individual MEs for ME related tasks for the readiness to test new parts for durability and limited production build requirements
Support the development of electrical test connections for new and current test equipment
Interface with suppliers of electrical test connections
Assist department engineers on miscellaneous projects as they come about
What It Takes
Basic computer skills
Microsoft office software
Good oral and written communication skills
Understanding of basic electrical design
Capability of reading and understanding blueprints
Manufacturing or machining shop floor understanding or awareness
Pursuing a degree in an Engineering discipline - Mechanical, electrical, agricultural or manufacturing technology
Must be registered as a full-time student at a local university
Must be able to commute to the work location on a daily basis
Graduation date of December 2019 or later
Cumulative GPA of 2.8 or above
16 - 20 hours/week during the academic year
35 - 40 hours/week during the summer semester
A strong candidate will also have
AutoCAD or ProE/Creo skills
