Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Lead, manage, and mentor a team of design engineers and designers in the design, development, and production launch of industrial equipment

  • Oversee all new product development engineering projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

  • Maintains competitiveness of existing product families by managing Enterprise change management process to drive enhancements, extensions and continuous improvement

  • Drives project management execution and process improvements to support the delivery of expected results

  • Oversee the preparation and management of project budgets, schedules, and resources.

  • Conduct design reviews and provide technical guidance to the team

  • Prioritizes design for manufacturability, working closely with manufacturing teams to develop designs that can be efficiently produced in-house or by third-party vendors

  • Oversees the planning and tracking of all phases of the product life cycle

  • Fosters a culture of continuous improvement within engineering by promoting the use of best practices, new technologies, and innovative engineering approaches.

  • Ensures all engineering work complies with industry standards, codes, and regulations

  • Develops and implements strategic plans to enhance the engineering team's efficiency and effectiveness by recruiting & training for new competencies and skills

    Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical Engineering required; Master’s degree would receive special attention

  • Minimum of 10 years' experience in the mechanical engineering field in the industrial/ agricultural industry, with at least 5 years in a leadership role

  • Strong background in mechanical and structural design and analysis experience with CAD systems, 3D modeling and simulation tools (FEA)

  • Familiarity with PLM systems and integrated CAD / ERP systems

  • Experience with steel cutting / forming and weldments would be considered a plus

  • Excellent leadership and team management skills

  • Ability to manage and collaborate with globally distributed teams

  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail

  • Must be able to communicate fluently in English. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong ability to collaborate with various stakeholders and cross-functional teams

  • Demonstrates professional integrity and ethics

  • Ability to travel on an as needed basis up to 20% domestically and internationally
