Retail Loan Associate
Provides service to customers and prospective customers seeking mortgage and consumer loans. Makes and services a variety of mortgage and consumer loans, secured and unsecured. Develops customer relationships, provides portfolio maintenance, and various customer services, as required.

Interviews applicants interested in obtaining mortgage and consumer loans.
Underwrites mortgage and consumer loans.
Within established lending limits or by committee approval, makes credit decision to approve or decline loans.
Schedules and conducts loan closing.
Services loans in portfolio to retain high loan quality level.
Develops new business and expands existing relationships.
Processes mortgage and consumer loans.
Openly communicates to all departments within the bank to determine efficiencies and improvements.
Assists with special project and tasks.
Other duties as assigned.
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position, and typical work hours and days are Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Some flexibility in hours is allowed, but the employee should be available during the “core” work hours of 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Additional working hours may be required for this position to ensure the functionality of the department and overall functionality of the bank.
Some travel will be required for this position.
Required Education and Experience
- 2 or 4 year degree or equivalent experience.
Preferred Education and Experience
- Prior Lending Experience.
