Waverly Health Center Social Worker PRN in Waverly, Iowa
SCHEDULE FTE: PRN PRIMARY FUNCTIONS Provide social services specific to relevant emotional, psychosocial, and economic needs consistent with the scope of practice as defined by the Iowa Social Work Licensure Act to promote continuity of care by communicating and collaborating with the multidisciplinary team, patient, and family and facilitate discharge planning and appropriate support services. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Education, Experience, and Training
Must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work; Master’s Degree preferred. For internal cross-training, a baccalaureate in nursing degree is also accepted.
Minimum of three years previous experience in all aspects of social services and discharge planning preferred.
Must have demonstrated organizational abilities.
Ability to learn and navigate computer systems including the online training modules, the employee timesheet and the performance appraisal system. Job specific systems are also required.
Must be able to read, speak, and write fluent English.
Physical Requirements
Sitting – Approximately 50% of shift.
Standing – Approximately 25% of shift.
Walking – Approximately 25% of shift.

Bending – Moderate.
Squat/Kneel – Infrequent.
