Waverly Health Center Systems Analyst 1.0FTE in Waverly, Iowa

SCHEDULE FTE: 1.0FTE, mostly 1st shift PRIMARY FUNCTIONS Serves as the primary point of contact in the implementation, support and maintenance of assigned application software at the organization. Coordinates development, implementation, standard process development, reporting, forms customization, on-going support, and application maintenance related to assigned applications at the organization. Works with the other systems analysts to ensure information systems are supported and meeting the organization’s business requirements. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Education, Experience, and Training

  • Must possess a minimum of an Associate's Degree in Computer Science, healthcare or related field.

  • Must have two years of previous experience in an analyst role, preferably in a healthcare setting. Similar software application experience may be substituted.

  • Must have the ability to work with automated systems, as well as a variety of computer-related equipment.

  • Must have strong skills in differentiating between process and program issues, as well as taking non-technical systems and translating those into technical models.

  • Must possess the ability to teach and train end-users and limit dependence on him/herself.

  • Ability to learn and navigate computer systems including the online training modules, the employee timesheet and the performance appraisal system. Job specific systems are also required.

  • Must have excellent written and oral communication skills.

  • Must be able to read, speak, and write fluent English.

Physical Requirements

  • Sitting – Not a requirement.

  • Standing – Approximately 50% of shift.

  • Walking – Approximately 50% of shift.

  • Lifting – Approximately 50 pounds.

  • Twisting – Infrequent.

  • Bending – Moderate.

  • Squat/Kneel – Approximately 25% of shift.
