Mid-Prairie is seeking applicants for a Colorguard Coach for the 24-25 year.The Colorguard Coach coordinates the preparations, exercises, and activities of the school marching band's auxiliary unit, the Colorguard. The coach prepares and directs the unit for independent performance and competition, as well as for performances integrated within the larger marching band. Applicants should have the ability to coach teenagers, experience with color guard performance techniques, experience creating and teaching colorguard choreography.The position would be approximately 10 hours per week (approximately 90 hours for the season) plus attending all marching band performances at home football games and two weeks of marching band competitions. Instructing marching band camp from August 5 to August 9 would be necessary. You would need to have the ability to be at the high school by 7 a.m. for marching band rehearsal on a regular basis.The Mid-Prairie Community School District is an EEO/AA employer.
