The Consumer Lending team partners with other businesses across Wells Fargo to create and deliver transformational experiences that help customers gain access to credit. The vision for the Consumer Lending business is to leverage technology and data to make it simple for customers to easily access credit when and where they need it. Consumer Lending serves customers across the country through our distribution network of more than 5,300 retail banking branches and Home Lending offices, as well as online and digital channels.
This leader will lead a team of reporting analysts to develop, maintain and support reporting and analytics for the Personal Lending Group (PLG). Groups supported within or in support of PLG include Executive and Senior management, Product, Marketing, Digital, Originations, Finance, Credit Risk, Risk, Fraud and Control activities which includes work across end-to-end business data types. Leads function with direct reports and through partner collaboration with other analytic teams. The types of reporting will include covering topics such as Personal Loan & Line portfolios, customer, sales, leads, underwriting, processing, team member performance, fraud, risk, remediation, etc. Activities will be performed by product managers, personal lending consultants, underwriters, loan document specialists, fraud team members, etc., and managers of these positions. This role will provide the management support tools required through dashboards, recurring reporting, ad hoc reporting and deep dive analytics. To accomplish this, the analytics leader will partner with each PLG group and groups that support PLG to ensure the reporting\analytics meets the needs of their routines.
The successful candidate will have experience as a leader within a medium scale, matrixed organization with demonstrated ability to lead through influence and by example. Leader should have experience working in a fast paced, high workload environment and be able to manage effectively through constant change. This leader will have competency leading high performing team members focused on driving change through leadership, strong partnerships & team member engagement.
Ensure intake and governance processes and routines are followed to maintain transparency of stakeholder requests and manage to on-time delivery.
Define, develop, and implement reporting, analytics and dashboards that enable all groups within PLG to manage their respective activities.
Work closely with business and technology partners to understand upcoming system and database changes and prepare or modify reporting accordingly.
Maintain peer review, validation and QC processes to ensure quality deliverables.
Work closely with business data owners to certify data quality of all inputs used by the team for performing reporting and analytics.
Successfully implement, align and adhere to new Enterprise Data Management Policy.
Complete all RCSA (Risk Control Self-Assessment) requirements for processes within team.
Establish, maintain and facilitate prioritization processes for data requests to deliver business highest priorities. Tell the team story of capacity, skill set, volumes to keep business partners informed on capabilities to meet business needs.
Location: This role will need to sit within one of the posted markets and does not offer a full time remote work opportunity.

8+ years of experience in analytics, modeling, or a combination of both
6+ years of management experience; or 6+ years of leadership experience in an advanced quantitative analytics function

Virtual leadership experience with ability to effectively drive results, provide feedback/direction, and manage and build relationships with leaders and team members in a geographically dispersed team environment
Ability to coordinate, lead and facilitate group meetings
Strong independent thinking skills
Intermediate Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, LiveMeeting and SharePoint) skills
Strong, clear and concise written and oral communication skills
Ability to communicate effectively, in both written and verbal formats, with senior executive-level leaders
Ability to take initiative and work independently with minimal supervision in a structured environment
Ability to navigate complex business relationships
Ability to take on a high level of responsibility, initiative, and accountability
Ability to act as a subject matter expert
Banking industry experience
Experience working in a large enterprise environment

Experience developing and cultivating professional relationships
Experience with Teradata to include Teradata SQL Assistant and Teradata Studio
Experience with SQL Server to include: SQL Server Management Studio, SQL Server Integration Services and SQL Server Reporting Services
Proven ability to effectively translate technical concepts and information to non-technical business partners to drive for recommendations and solutions
Experience reviewing complex data sets and translating findings into actionable business insights
Experience acting as a subject matter expert around data and reporting while adhering to policy in a regulated environment
- Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
