This Bookkeeper role will be located in the West Des Moines, Iowa area with a growing organization. The Bookkeeper will manage accounts receivable, reconciliation, journal entries, assist with month-end closing and other departmental projects.

Key responsibilities

  • Maintains sales tax records and creates and files quarterly payments

  • Manage monthly accounting close

  • Manage general ledger

  • Arrange cash flow projections, as needed

  • Credit Card management and reconciliation

  • Draw up monthly reconciliations, financial statements and all supporting documents

  • Manage Accounts Receivable

Requirements

  • Self-starter and strong ethical standards

  • Highly organized and self-motivated

  • Accomplished in analytical, quantitative and social skills

  • 3+ years of related experience- Comprehensive knowledge of bookkeeping

  • Previous experience working with Accounts Receivable (AR)

  • Hands-on experience with Daily Bank Deposits

  • Adeptness in cash reconciliations

  • Comprehension of Cash Deposits

  • Experience with Credit Card Deposits

  • Demonstrated knowledge of Credit Card Reconciliation

  • Strong familiarity with account reconciliation

  • General familiarity with financial reconciliation

  • Bank reconciliations experience highly desired

  • Background working with Sage Timberline Software

  • Bank Deposit experience highly valued

  • Bank Account Reconciliation experience

  • Earlier work involving Excel Formulas

  • Sage Timberline experience highly preferred

  • Good understanding of Microsoft Excel

  • Comfortable working in a changing and dynamic environment

  • Ability to meet deadlines

  • Proven analytical skills with ability to implement solutions and vendor management experience with good organizational skills

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
