A day in the life…
The Lab Practice Administrator is responsible for managing, coordinating and directing the overall operational activities and staff of the clinical lab including multiple site locations. Will work closely with the physicians in assuming accountability for maintaining high quality cost effective services and maintains awareness of applicable laws and/or regulations affecting the clinic and assures compliance. Participates in strategic and long-range planning. Promotes a positive, professional image of the organization internally and externally.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, finance or health care related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Licensure/certification: Medical Technologist or Medical Lab Technician certification
required.
Previous Work Experience:
Five (5) years previous supervisory experience in a medical setting required.
Proficiency using MS Office products required.
Working knowledge of GPMS medical billing software preferred.
Previous experience as an MT or MLT in a clinic or hospital required.
