Finance brings together enterprise functions that drive Wells Fargo's financial management, including accounting and control, financial planning and analysis, line of business finance, asset-liability management, treasury, tax management, and the company's investment portfolios. They also inform shareholders, regulators, taxing authorities, employees, and leaders of the company's financial performance through earnings releases, investor meetings and conferences, and meetings with regulators and credit rating agencies, following appropriate reporting guidelines.

This Lead Consultant will support the COO Finance organization, and will be expected to help execute Strategic Initiatives across the Enterprise Customer Excellence group.

Reporting to the COO Finance CFO, the Finance Lead Consultant is an individual contributor who is responsible for ownership of analysis and reporting of key metrics, forecasting, reporting as well as other consulting activities related to financial controls, risk management, and operating reviews.

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: finance, accounting, analytics or reporting

Desired Qualifications

  • A BS/BA degree or higher in one or a combination of the following: Finance, Accounting, Analytics, or Reporting

  • Ability to manage effectively in a matrixed organization

  • Superior project management skills including the ability to handle multiple projects concurrently

Other Desired Qualifications

  • 5 + years of experience in one or a combination of the following: strategic planning, initiative management or project management

  • 3+ years of experience supporting finance or accounting functions

  • Develops holistic and customer-focused improvement approaches within and across lines of businesses to understand business processes and workflow throughout Wells Fargo and to identify and help prioritize new initiatives to drive business strategy, mitigate potential risks and control gaps, and improve financial return and/or positive customer impact

  • Conducts root cause and data analysis to support development of business cases for proposed technology, staff, and structure changes, including cost estimates

  • Develop, implement and monitor procedures, controls and metrics to enable tracking of compliance and performance (KRIs / KPIs) that provide data for process management indicators for future improvement opportunities

  • Provides advanced statistical analysis for business leaders, project teams, and managers as required. In addition, provides basic and advanced measurement approaches and mechanisms to ensure we are managing the process and producing the designed results

  • Knowledge and understanding of ever-evolving regulatory environments and governance processes

  • Experience with process improvement (e.g., six sigma), reengineering, and/or large scale transformation

  • Excellent verbal and written skills, including the ability to clearly articulate and translate financial data so that it is clearly understood in support of sound decisions

  • Demonstrated capability to synthesize complex analytical findings into executive level communications and presentations

  • Proven leadership in developing and delivering on innovative and efficient solutions

  • Working knowledge and hands on experience with toolsets like Essbase/SmartView, Tableau, Project Tracking, and Costing tools

  • Demonstrated experience in embracing and driving organizational change, as well as influencing colleagues through changing requirements and vision

  • Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills, readily developing partnership across the enterprise to achieve desired outcomes
