West Des Moines Community School District KW Summer Temp Assistant Teacher in West Des Moines, Iowa
Kids West Summer positions will begin with intermittent training the weeks of May 20 and May 28. We will have training and set up May 31 and June 3. The Summer Day Camp runs June 4 - August 9. We will be closed July 4 and July 5. Assistant Teacher responsibilities include planning and leading a group of school age participants in Summer Day Camp style recreational activities. Engaging crafts, games, science experiments and other fun learning opportunities are some of the experiences. Each classroom goes on three field trips per week. Candidates should enjoy being active participants with their group on indoor and outdoor field trips.
Must have a pre-employment physical. Must complete Blood Borne Pathogens, Right to Know, Mandatory Reporter and Safe Schools before working with children. Must attend CPR/FA training.
