Athene New Business Representative in West Des Moines, Iowa

Accountabilities:

As a New Business Representative, you will:

  • Follows established operational procedures for processing new annuity applications or annuity rollovers.

  • Establishing new application data on Athene systems

  • Monitoring applications for compliance with state regulations

  • Validating that state required forms are submitted

  • Determining if the appropriate signatures have been received

  • Determining how funding should be set up

  • Determining suitability or AML red flags

  • Issues policies in the appropriate administration system

  • Evaluates incoming documents for validity and completeness

  • Communicates with the Agent Contact and Sales staff as necessary when additional requirements are outstanding

  • Processes receipts and cash items into the appropriate administrative systems

  • Provides prompt, courteous and accurate customer service related to: funding, suitability, regulatory issues, policy issuance, policy requirements, illustrations, and customer correspondence

  • Participates as a team member in problem resolution and projects supporting continuous process improvement

  • Assembles policies for delivery to customers upon completion of new business processes

  • Follows up on outstanding information and requesting return of outstanding requirements

Qualifications and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; College degree preferred

  • 1+ year of work experience required; previous office experience, financial services or annuity processing experience strongly preferred

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills required

  • Ability to navigate multiple computer systems with minimal assistance required

  • Ability to multi-task and be detail oriented required

  • Current understanding of annuity and financial services regulations preferred
