The Chief Operating Office includes core operations functions for each of the lines of business under leaders who have joint reporting relationships. Including Front Line Control for each of the lines of business and enterprise functions, Strategy and Operations Planning, Sales Practices Oversight and Management, Enterprise Shared Services, Strategic Execution & Operations, Corporate Properties Group, Business Continuity and Resiliency, Enterprise Customer Excellence, Supply Chain Management, and Chief Administrative Office.

The Enterprise Change Management (ECM), a bank-wide organization that is part of the Chief Operating Office, is seeking an experienced Strategy and Organizational Effectiveness Manager to join the team.

Working on some of our largest programs, the position will focus on defining organizational change strategy and approach, ensuring and accelerating adoption, utilization, and proficiency in new ways of working and by preparing leadership to successfully lead their organizations through large-scale change. This person will effectively work as a manager and team player and will contribute to the overall success of ECM and the Organizational Design team in a highly collaborative environment. This role will include:

  • Defining the detailed organizational change implementation strategy and transition approach as part of a large program or agile-product effort, building from strategic plans and business cases

  • Conducting needs assessments, gathering and clarifying requirements, and delivering recommendations to stakeholders on best practice approach to transitioning the organization and its capabilities from current to target state

  • Engaging and communicating with stakeholders and aligning and supporting leaders across the Bank, both as an individual contributor and as a member of change teams leadership

  • Defining and measuring success metrics and monitoring organizational change progress including a framework for monitoring stakeholder change readiness

  • Reinforcing and sustaining change through leadership, modelling the way, training, and performance support

As an Employee Manager, you are expected to achieve success by leading yourself, your team, and the business. Specifically you will:

  • Lead your team with integrity and create an environment where your employees feel included, valued, and supported to do work that energizes them.

  • Accomplish management responsibilities which include sourcing and hiring talented employees, providing ongoing coaching and feedback, recognizing and developing employees, identifying and managing risks, and completing daily management tasks.

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of strategic planning experience

  • 5+ years of management experience

  • 10+ years of experience in change management with a focus on organizational development and effectiveness

  • 10+ years of experience in a combination of the following: strategic planning, organizational design and development, large scale change implementation and program management

Desired Qualifications

  • Ability to take initiative and work independently with minimal supervision in a structured environment

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Ability to provide leadership to a matrixed organization environment

  • Financial services industry experience

  • Ability to generate, review, edit, and distribute executive level reports

  • Virtual leadership experience with ability to effectively drive results, provide feedback/direction, and manage and build relationships with leaders and team members in a geographically dispersed team environment

  • Ability to take initiative, identify opportunities and implement change

  • Strategic planning experience in translating leadership vision into executable strategies and initiatives enterprise-wide

  • Ability to make timely and independent judgment decisions while working in a fast-paced and results-driven environment

  • Ability to motivate staff to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment

Other Desired Qualifications

  • Extensive experience in presenting to executive audiences and facilitating complex working sessions with diverse sets of stakeholders

  • Demonstrated experience in senior change leadership role and the ability to operate without supervision or direction to achieve a set of goals

  • Formal training and experience with change management principles and methodologies, program and project management approaches, tools and phases of the project lifecycle, including both waterfall and agile models

  • Experience working with and building partnerships with senior bank management, with strong organizational and time management skills and the ability to influence strategic decisions

  • Experience with cost reduction and organizational optimization programs and efforts

  • Experience conducting project meetings, creating executive level presentations and status reporting

  • Experience in working with recruiting organizations and processes to execute workforce hiring at scale across distributed global locations

  • Experience in designing and deploying data analytics in support of monitoring a global change management function

  • Experience working with and building partnerships with senior bank management, with strong organizational and time management skills and the ability to influence strategic decisions

Job Expectations

  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time

  • Ability to work additional hours as needed
