Description:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :

Answers, resolves, and responds to all incoming calls as well as all voice messages.

Audits accounts.

Directs follow-up to account reps as necessary.

Updates patient information via computer.

Prepares adjustments to patient accounts.

MARGINAL FUNCTIONS:

Sorts and distributes departmental mail.

Researches and updates returned mail.

Contacts insurance companies for claims status.

Performs other related work as required.

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED :

High school graduate/GED with two years of specialized insurance related work. Customer service experience desirable.
