Procurement Director

Description

As Procurement Director, you will lead the procurement function for our technology-focused business, assisting internal customers in the procurement process to optimize vendor spend and achieve corporate objectives.

In the short term, you will:

  • Execute against the strategy and annual plan, including:

    • Business priorities

    • New and renewal contracts

    • Improvement areas for key vendors

    • Process improvements

    • Achieve savings targets

  • Analyze, monitor, and track contract performance

  • Develop a full procurement process and monitor compliance

In the long term, you will:

  • Proactively evaluate and confirm vendor requirements, including volume requirements

  • Negotiate directly or assist in negotiating contract terms with vendors

  • Ensure contracts are obtained and properly archived in the contract repository

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 1 Year(s).

Work Site

This is a hybrid position requiring some days on-site in West Des Moines, Iowa and some days remote.

Work Environment

HYBRID. 2 days in office / 3 from home. Standard hours.
