Wells Fargo Senior Java Software Engineer in WEST DES MOINES, Iowa

About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Java Full Stack Senior Software Engineer in Technology as part of Consumer Lending Technology, Asset Management Technology team. This developer will have the opportunity to build, maintain multiple applications and services for users supporting the Hardship domain. This position is part of a team cross functional Agile team that design, develop, test and support these complex applications

In this role, you will:

  • Lead moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within technical domain environments

  • Contribute to large scale planning of strategies

  • Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs associated with technology domain, including upgrades and deployments

  • Review moderately complex technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of technologies and procedures

  • Resolve moderately complex issues and lead a team to meet existing client needs or potential new clients needs while leveraging solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, or compliance requirements

  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to resolve technical challenges and achieve goals

  • Lead projects and act as an escalation point, provide guidance and direction to less experienced staff

Required Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

  • 3+ years experience withJava, Spring/Spring Boot

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience developing applications in a CI/CD pipeline using tools like Jenkins or GitHub

  • 2+ years of experience with Angular or React

  • 2+ years of experience with SQL Server or other relational database

  • Experience with Scrum/Agile

  • 2+ years of experience working in cloud technology platforms such as AWS, GCP, Azure, or Pivotal Cloud Foundry

  • 2+ years of experience with Junit, TDD, or BDD

  • 2+ years of hands on experience with Kubernetes

  • 2+ years of hands on Kafka experience

  • 3 years of experience developing Microservices and associated design patterns

  • 1+ years of experience with Eclipse or IntelliJ IDE
