Job Description
Description:
Provide daily support to claims staff and supervises day-to-day activity of department.
Ensures that the claim team on-going performance meets state regulations, established guidelines and standard operating procedures
Develops and/or follows ‘best practices’ to optimize claims processing quality
Evaluates skills and performance of claims staff and conducts annual performance reviews.
Facilitates resolutions to an assortment of problems and escalations that are moderately complex in scale and scope.
Assists in hiring and training of new claim associates, ensures appropriate staffing levels and facilitates allocation of work.
Monitors individual performance and ensures it meets expected quality and performance objectives
Assists in employee performance evaluation, promotion, retention and termination activities
Contributes to business growth and efficiencies.
Requirements:
Ten (10) years of Medical Claims Processing experience OR the equivalent combination of a Degree and claims experience
Previous supervisory experience managing production and quality for claims processing
Previous experience evaluating performance and associate development.
Proficient in MS Office (WORD, EXCEL, POWERPOINT)
Strong written and oral communication skills
