  • Position: Feed Mill Operator Trainee

  • Job Status: Full-time

  • FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

  • Reports To: Feed Operations Manager

  • Amount of Overnight Travel Required: 0-10%

  • Work Schedule: 9pm - 5:30am Sunday night - Friday morning

  • Positions Supervised: None

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES

  • Operate the assigned facilities and equipment to efficiently and accurately deliver products and services for the Cooperative’s patrons.

  • Assist in maintaining all assigned facilities and equipment for safe operations at all times to meet the State, Federal and River Valley Cooperative requirements.

  • Provide input to Mill Lead and Feed Operations Manager on needed repairs and maintenance of assigned facilities and equipment.

  • Provide maintenance support as directed for the company facilities at the mill locations.

  • Performs other roles and accepts other responsibility as assigned by the manager.

  • The feed mill operator position involves working a shift that will occasional require over time and shift adjustment or change, may occasionally include weekends or holidays.

  • Must complete all logs and documentation timely as required by RVC, and all State and Federal agencies.

  • Must perform duties and responsibilities under RVC, HACCP, IDALS, LOL, FSMA, FDA requirements, specifications, and rules; along with other regulations

  • Must consistently comply with all RVC and customer Bio-Security procedures and requirements.

  • Includes assisting and/or individually completing the receiving, manufacture, loading, transporting, unloading, housing keeping, sweeping, cleaning, documentation, log keeping, and maintenance of the facilities, equipment, products assigned, and assist in training new employees.

  • Support River Valley operations in other functional areas of the operations business as needed

Education: High School

Experience: Ag retail and tractor/trailer experience preferred
